GEA (China plant product) for engine and locomotive
GEA charge air coolers (CAC) for main engines are well known all over the world for their good performance and reliability. GEA has long term cooperation with the world famous engine manufacturers and licensors: MAN B&W and Wärtsilä and is regarded as qualified supplier.
Inheriting the good tradition of GEA in Germany, GEA is serving the Asian marine industry market, suppling charge air coolers for Chinese, Korean and Japanese customers. Up to now, GEA has manufactured thousands of charge air coolers for various of powerful marine diesel engines, which have gained the approval from all classification societies. |

In China, GEA supplies CAC for nearly all the 4-stroke engine manufacturers including state enterprises and Joint Venture companies with above mentioned producers. Moreover GEA has exported their products to various overseas customers.

To use several decades of experience GEA accumulated in the European locomotive market, GEA devoted itself to design and manufacture CAC for locomotives in China market and became an officially nominated supplier by China Ministry of Railway in 2000.
At present, GEA has established close cooperation relationship with all locomotive works in China, The main coolers we have supplied include DF4, DF7, DF8/8B and DF11 series . All types of coolers have passed the performance test held by China Railway Ministry Science Institute.
The first delivered CAC for DF11 loco engine has passed the 900,000km operation verification. |
In August 2002, a professional technology assessment for GEA locomotive CAC was carried out by Equipment Department of Transportation Bureau of Ministry of Railway , which came to the conclusion that: "the products reach today's international advanced standard, pass the technology assessment, and are allowable to be popularized for application."
Since 2003 , GEA has been exporting locomotive CAC to the US market.
